After your coronary artery bypass surgery, you'll have regular follow-up visits with your healthcare team. Expect to schedule:

  • A visit with the surgeon to check your incisions

  • A visit with the heart doctor to check your health and adjust your medicines

  • Continued visits with the heart or primary care doctor as often as recommended

  • Ask your doctor about taking part in a cardiac rehab program This is one of the best ways to help you get better after bypass surgery.
